If they wanted to win the Stanley Cup with Marian Hossa on their team, that it.  Hossa wasn’t always a curse, you see.  He was a member of the 1998 Portland Winterhawks squad which captured the Memorial Cup as the champion of the Canadian Hockey League.

What does that have to do with anything?  Well, the Portland Winterhawks wear basically the exact same jersey as the Chicago Blackhawks.

I guess Hossa is just fashion conscious.  Incidentally – the third goalie on that Winterhawks team was none other than 2006 American League Most Valuable Player Justin Morneau.
