Colby Armstrong has signed a three year deal ($3 million per season) with the Toronto Maple Leafs.  Another big pickup for the Leafs.  At the very least, they won’t be a very fun team to play against.  Armstrong is another step in building Brian Burke’s version of the Leafs.

Brian Burke’s son Brendan was a student manager for the University of Miami (Ohio) Men’s Hockey team prior to his untimely death in a car accident earlier this year.  The Miami team has been honouring him with a patch on their jerseys during games, but I hadn’t seen their practice jerseys until earlier today.
